Five Dollar Finds

It’s that time again….Five Dollar Finds.

I found these pants at my local thrift store for $5 bucks and couldn’t leave them. I’ve been looking for a fruit skirt for months with no luck but these pants are a great substitute.

 

When I saw these fruit capri pants two of my favorite bloggers came to mind, Sacramento from Mis Papelicos and Kiah from The “Rez” to the “City” and I thought, “What would they do with these pants?” These ladies are masters of mixing prints, are extremely stylish, and have become my fashion inspirations.

I thought it would be fun to add my striped shirt with the fruit capri pants….A great look for an awesome price!

Five Dollar Finds

The Goodwill has been my good friend in the last couple of months. I’ve been finding some great finds such as these Chico’s pants aka another pair of printed “pajama pants” for the outrageous price of $3.99!  

Let me tell you how I got lucky with this price.  As I was checking out, I mentioned to the cashier how much I loved these pajama pants and as she typed into the cash register she yelled, “One pair of  pajama pants $3.99.” I smiled inside because I knew I got a deal!  The cashier had no clue these were not real pajama pants and I guess she didn’t see the March issue of Elle magazine‘s editorial on printed pajama pants.

The magazine showcased pajama pants from such designers as John Galliano, Tucker, BeBe and United Bamboo…all well priced over $100.

Well kudos for me because I got the look for less…..It pays to use fashion jargon!

Five Dollar Finds

I thought it would be fun if I post my five dollar finds from the thrift store on Fridays.  My latest find was this Audrey Hepburn coffee table book for $4.99 at the Goodwill.

It’s filled with gorgeous black and white photos of Audrey throughout her personal life and movie career.  Amazon sells this book new for around $25.00 so this was a great deal!
